Last week we braved the chilly weather and took our favorite models outside for a photo shoot to feature fresh bridal looks for spring. We asked Tiffany Lowry at Red X to style up Sara and Alex so that we could showcase new hair accessories by Violet Magpie.
For this look we wanted to cast Sara in a soft glowing light with a peach lip and shimmering golden eye shadow. Tiffany emphasized the eye with false lashes and just enough eye liner to give more definition and focus.
For hair, a side swept bang and simple updo worked well with Violet Magpie's soft creamy peach and pink layered feather flower hairpiece. We stitched up layered silk rosettes with brown and peach spotted feathers to embellish a silk strapless dress. The darling vintage necklace made of peach enameled flowers with rhinestone centers add just enough sparkle without overwhelming the ensemble.
In this second look, Sara is wearing an ornate rhinestone hair clip with a sweeping mix of white and golden brown feathers. The silk crepe halter dress is accented with belt made of vintage floral fabric and finished with a mother of pearl buckle.
For Alex's make-up, we asked Tiffany to use a rosey luminescent palate. Cherry blossom pink inspired the lip color. To add a little drama to the otherwise soft and girlish face, Alex's eyes were made up in bold Mod era cat-eye. Alex's messy side bun is balanced with the elegant white feather hairpiece embellished with rhinestones and beading for extra shimmer. The classic laurel leaf shape of the vintage necklace mirrors the shape of the feather hairpiece, as well as the shape in the white, gold and rhinestone vintage earrings. This glamorous vintage style compliments the simplicity of the classic white dress.
We adore this over sized sheer silk rose hair clip with rhinestone center and wispy white feathers.
The rose hair clip was the perfect accompaniment to the cream silk satin dress embellished with tiny velvet flowers. We love this dreamy romantic look and envision a wedding at a 19th century mansion, living out our Jane Eyre fantasies.
