For a couple who loves the outdoors, we created a winter wedding getaway out in the woods. We ventured out to a cozy snowy lodge in the northwest wonderland. For the bride we designed a bouquet with soft winter flowers accented with pine, pussy willows, ferns, and other textured leaves. She wore a vintage mohair crocheted wrap over her dress and we found her the perfect wood clutch to top off the look.
The groomsmen's boutonnieres were made with evergreen and fern leaves with little sprigs of pussy willow and white ranunculus.
We were lucky enough to find these amazing vintage pine dishes for the bridal party table. We sourced the french flatware with olive wood handles that was a perfect compliment to the dishes. To complete the cabin feel we knit napkin rings and made plaid wool place mats. Tree slices with bark made for rustic centerpieces that we topped with cedar, pine, fern and pine cones to frame beeswax candles. We couldn't resist layering evergreen and ferns under our place setting to bring a little more of the outdoors inside.
For the place cards we hand-cut and painted little pine cones to attach to the knit napkin ring.
Dessert was served in teacups. The chocolate pot de creme was topped with our handmade chocolate pine cones.
To keep the guests warm and cheery we suggested serving hot toddies. What could be better on a cold winter's night?
To end the night our handmade chocolate pine cone favors were served on little beds of moss. A sweet ending to a lovely party.
